You Have the Right to Direct Your Child’s Education.

Don’t let a “Christian or Religious Worldview” denial stop your student’s progress

Navigating the intersection of public funding and home education in Oregon can be daunting—especially when a district or charter school denies your curriculum choice based on your family’s faith. Whether you are facing a reimbursement denial for Abeka, Bob Jones, Classical Conversations, or a local Christian co-op, you are not alone, and you are not without options.

It’s time to put a STOP! to using “loop holes” like buying a printer, paper and ink so you can print off Christian curriculum such a “The good and the Beautiful.” Ain’t no homeschooling parent have time for that non-sense, especially if you have more than one kid.

I’ve compiled these templates and mapping resources based on my own current-on-going appeals and the latest judicial precedents, including Carson v. Makin and Mahmoud v. Taylor. These tools are designed to help you advocate for your child’s right to a neutral, academic-focused education without compromising your values or their education. We use our curriculum as a tool to meet secular state benchmarks- it having a "Christian worldview" is incidental to our student's academic progress.
