About the Founder

Pioneering Change for Parental Authority, Educational Neutrality and Access to Skills-Based Enrichment for Christ-centered families

First and Foremost, I am a bond-servant for the Lord Jesus Christ. Only by the grace of God and sanctification of Jesus Christ that I am here today. May God be with you, to encourage you, to protect you and bless you and your family in all your endeavors. I believe all scripture is true. Proverbs 22:6 states: Direct your children onto the right path, and when they are older, they will not leave it. It is my parental offering under the authority of YAHWEH and my husband to ground my children in God’s Holy word- The Bible. The Bible is living and acting as well as a Historical document. Lean into Him, always.

My Journey
Like many of you, my advocacy began at home, born from a desire to provide my children with a high-quality education that reflects our values and prepares them for a global future. I believe that education isn't just about textbooks and community; it’s about the "Journey of Travel"—the lived experiences that turn students into God fearing citizens.

Why Pencils and Passport?
I founded Pencils and Passport Advocacy because I saw a growing gap between what the law promises and what families experience from many different Oregon school districts. While the "Pencils" (resources) are technically available, many homeschooling families find them locked behind unconstitutional barriers that prevent them from purchasing and/or being reimbursed for christian curriculum. I believe that every child deserves their "Passport" (opportunities) to a better future, directed by the people who know and love them best: their parents.

Grounding Advocacy in Truth
My work is built on the firm belief that a child is not "the mere creature of the State." This isn't just my opinion—it is a fundamental liberty protected by nearly a century of Supreme Court precedence. From Pierce v. Society of Sisters to the recent Carson v. Makin, the courts have consistently affirmed that when public resources are available, they must be provided with neutrality.

Our Mission Together
I am here to help you declare your status as a private educational entity. Whether you are navigating state requirements in Oregon or seeking to incorporate scripture-based curriculum into your child's journey, you are not alone. Together, we are demanding equal access and reclaiming the right to educate our children as we see fit.
